Steve Barnes, or simply “Barnes” as everyone has called him for years, is the host of The Morning X weekdays 6-10 am on 99X and on-demand worldwide at 99X.com. Barnes co-created The Morning X in 1994 with Leslie Fram and Jimmy Baron, and the show went on to win national awards during its 10-year initial run. The Morning X won Billboard Magazine and Radio & Records’ “National Major Market Morning Show Award” and “Best Morning Show” in Atlanta Magazine. Barnes has been named “Best Radio Voice” and “Favorite Radio DJ” for multiple years in Creative Loafing.
Barnes has been a member of The Screen Actor’s Guild for over 25 years and can be seen in series and movies such as Prison Break, Drop Dead Diva, Remember the Titans, and many more.
Barnes is also the founder of Barnes Creative Studios, which produces marketing videos for Fortune 500 brands worldwide, like Four Seasons Hotels, CBRE, and more. Barnes has a patent pending for technology that allows people with disabilities to operate and view virtual tours on computers. This technology is used by major brands globally, from Universities to Governments.
